Erli

The Erli team presented us with a challenge: their aim was to launch a high-quality mobile marketplace app that could compete in a demanding market from day one, matching existing solutions.

In many projects, the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) strategy can be adopted, which involves creating a product with minimal features to test the market and attract initial users. This time our task was different – the Erli app needed to be fully functional from the outset, containing all essential elements that cater to user needs.

Another challenge was the integration with Erli’s API. Initially tailored for a web environment, it required close collaboration with Erli’s back-end team. This involved not only application development but also backend modifications to meet mobile requirements.

The project challenge encompassed the full scope of mobile application development, from creating low and high-fidelity wireframes, technical analysis, workshops, development, and testing, to project team management.

Although we typically finalize the wireframing stage before proceeding to the next steps in our projects, for the Erli app we opted for greater flexibility. This allowed us to optimize the entire process within the required timeframe while delivering a top-quality product.

We adopted a four-track parallel work approach:

1. Creating low and high-fidelity wireframes in close cooperation with the partner. Regular workshops and iterations allowed for rapid corrections and market needs adjustments.
2. Conducting technical workshops where tech leaders discussed integration details and implementation of specific features.
3. Back-end Development: In response to project requirements, the back-end team worked on adapting the API and creating server-side features.
4. Mobile Development: Our mobile developer team focused on creating the UI and dedicated mobile functionalities.

Thanks to our work methodologies, our team, averaging 3 mobile developers, 2 backend developers, Quality Assurance, and a Project Manager, managed to complete the project in just 1.5 years.

In the process, we used the Scrum framework, delivering incremental product builds in two-week sprints. This allowed us to dynamically respond to ongoing needs and make necessary adjustments during the app development stage.

Throughout the project, we shared our expertise and experience, especially in tailoring technical aspects and enhancing the mobile app’s UX.

The result is the fully functional Erli mobile app, which has received positive reviews since its release. The final product includes the following features:

• Registration/Login: Users can create accounts directly in the app or via social media integrations.
• Dashboard: A management panel integrated with the partner’s CMS system.
• Product search: Users can search products by category, hints, suggestions, or recent searches.
• Listings and product cards: Interface tailored to display special prices dedicated to the mobile app.
• Shopping cart: A fully functional cart integrated with many vendors, with various delivery and payment methods.
• Favorites list: Allows users to save selected products.
• “My Account” section: A personalized space for each user allowing them to manage their data, settings, and consents.
• Data analytics.

The final product is the combination of our technical expertise and the dedicated efforts of the entire team. We are immensely proud to have been a part of this project and contributed to its success.
